In a striking revelation, a Fake ChatGPT Chrome Extension has been found guilty of hijacking Facebook accounts, which is then utilized for malicious advertising, underscoring the importance of verifying software sources. The digital realm’s continuous advancement doesn’t come without its risks, as demonstrated by AI-generated YouTube video tutorials that are now spreading infostealer malware, highlighting AI’s double-edged nature. In terms of infrastructure vulnerabilities, a whopping dozen security flaws have been discovered in the Akuvox E11 Smart Intercom, calling into question the safety of smart devices. Lastly, Fortinet FortiOS, widely used for security, came under the scanner as its flaw has been exploited in targeted cyberattacks on government entities.
