The discovery of the Decoy Dog Malware Toolkit raised concerns as it targets enterprise networks, showing the persistent threats businesses face. Another alarming revelation was the Vietnamese threat actor utilizing ‘Malverposting’ tactics, managing to infect half a million devices. As digital espionage intensifies, APT28 took aim at the Ukrainian Government, using deceptive “Windows Update” emails to execute their operations. Google took stringent actions by blocking 1.43 million malicious apps and banning 173,000 bad accounts throughout 2022, showcasing tech giants’ commitment to ensuring digital safety. Finally, a significant blow was dealt to dark web activities through Operation SpecTor; a vast $53.4 million was seized, and 288 vendors found themselves under arrest.
