Rockstar Games was thrust into the spotlight when hackers made away with early footage of the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. Emphasizing the persistent threat of old and new malware, the notorious Emotet Botnet has resumed its malicious activities, this time distributing Quantum and BlackCat ransomware. In another significant incident, Uber publicly blamed the LAPSUS$ hacking group for its recent security breach, pointing fingers at a known cybercriminal entity. Europol and Bitdefender, in a move to counteract ransomware threats, jointly released a free decryptor for LockerGoga ransomware, offering a glimmer of hope to affected users. Lastly, a monumental DDoS attack set a new record, overwhelming systems with a staggering 25.3 billion requests by abusing HTTP/2 multiplexing, underlining the continuous evolution of cyber threats.
